New Callisto Staff

 

Callisto has employed a previous ESOC trainee as an engineer at Darmstadt

 

 The Callisto Staff at ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany, are pleased to welcome Magdalena Mendijur to their engineering team. Magdalena is a 24 years old  telecommunications engineering graduate from the School of Engineering of San Sebastian, University of Navarre(Spain) and Erasmus program at TUD (Technische Universitat Darmstadt).

Magdalena has already spent 6 months at ESOC in 2008 as a trainee at the Ground Station Systems Division, at Antenna and Infrastructure Section. She will study the architecture of ground based UHF radar. Such a radar will be one of the key elements of the future European Space Surveillance Awareness system. Her activity will be focused mainly on radar systems, signal processing techniques, phase array technology and infrastructure related aspects.

 

Callisto has been represented at ESOC for some years by two other engineers, one is in charge of Digital Signal Processing Engineering and the other provides support for technical data analysis, antenna pointing and tracking
