Callisto is pleased to announce that it has recently been awarded a new contract to provide a Multi-Band cryogenic Dewar for installation on a VLBI telescope located at Bundesamt fuer Kartographie und Geodaesie (BKG), Fundamentalstation, Wettzell. This contract is a continuation of a preceding collaboration with the Geodetic Observatory Wettzell (GOW) for building a new cryogenic Test Dewar.
BKG requires a cryogenic Dewar suitable for the mounting in the feed cone of one 12m antenna. The antenna has a multi-band feed which covers three bands (S-Band, X-Band and Ka-Band) for reception only.
Cryogenic low noise amplifiers are required for X-Band, S-band and Ka-Band reception in two polarisations.
The duration of the project is estimated as 8.5 months from start to factory acceptance.
