Successful SAT for the BKG Wettzell

We are very happy to announce a successful SAT for our most recent project with Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie (BKG) to equip one of their antennas at the Wettzell site.

BKG is a major contributor to the international VLBI community, amongst other activities. The bespoke cryogenic low noise receiver was designed specifically to meet their stringent requirements for low noise reception, maintainability and system lifetime.

RF engineer Hamzeh Houssein and RF technician Sebastien Junca were on site to mount and check the proper function of our system on-site before its installation. The SAT was executed successfully. Many thanks to the Celestia Callisto and BKG teams for their cooperation and hard work in bringing this project to fruition.
